This is a 4-Step Packet that includes research/note-taking, planning, pre-writing, and a final draft for comparative writing.
How I Use:
I am a pull-out program, so I am able to implement in small groups. However, the differentiation makes it easy to use in the general classroom. Using books or online research websites like PebbleGo, I differentiate the research. My more advanced students independently research two animals. However, my intermediate students research one on their own, and one with me beforehand. My students that need additional support research both with me, but write their own pre-write paper and final draft. We do:
