Animals have such a wonderful array of design as seen in the video "Body by Design: Form and Function." I wanted a group activity that could incorporate concepts seen in the video. I came up with 6 different questions/projects that the students could choose. For example, reptiles, ;amphibians, birds, fish and mammals all have different coverings (hair, scales, feathers, etc.). Students would research the microanatomy of two different coverings, and draw and explain it on a poster. I am excited to see how my students do with this. It would be possible to do this activity without seeing the video also. I have included my own question sheet for the video also.
