A performance task where students are asked to take on the perspective of one of the character's from Animal Farm, and create a propaganda piece that promotes that character's perspective.
Included is a PowerPoint that describes propaganda techniques, an assignment sheet, and a grading rubric.
* Provides examples of various propaganda techniques (Name calling, glittering generalities, transfer, testimonial, plain folks, bandwagon, either/or fallacy, fear, and ad nauseum/repetition.)
* Examples are both historical and contemporary (President Bush, Obama, and Trump. Historical and modern day product advertisements.)
