This is a unit test on George Orwell's novella, Animal Farm. It is designed for a 10th-grade class and assesses students on both the plot of the novel and its allegorical meaning relating to the Soviet Union. An answer key is included and it is in an editable format if you need to make any changes.
This test is worth 70 points and it includes the following sections:
- Multiple Choice, to assess plot details
- Matching, to see if students can match characters to allegorical counterparts
- Fill in the blank on the animals' commandments and how they change
- Paragraph responses (students choose their prompt) on various themes from the novella
