Bundle and Save with this 6 piece Animal Groups Resources! Each product is designed to engage your students have fun learning. Students will build confidence in their classification, note taking, analytical, and identification skills of the five vertebrate groups: amphibians, birds, fish, mammals, and reptiles.
Most activities are no prep, so simply print and go! For items you may want to keep and reuse, print on card stock or laminate. Then have students use a dry erase marker to complete the activity.
1. Clip Cards
Build your students' fine motor skills and animal group classification with this clip card activity. This packet comes with forty (40) colored animal cards that are numbered. Students can use clothes pins, or paperclips to select the correct answer on the side of the card. Two recording sheet options are included. Depending on the student’s needs one style has handwriting lines, and the other does not. An answer key for the clip cards has been provided for your convenience. There are also FIVE additional no-prep worksheets included!
2. Sorting Mats
Students will practice their animal identification, and classification skills of the five animal groups: amphibians, birds, fish, mammals, and reptiles. For durability, simply print and laminate mats and cards. Attach Velcro to each square on the mat cards, and the back of the picture cards (after cutting pictures out).
This packet includes:

3. Kaboom Game
How to Play: 2 -5 players
The game is played like most other KABOOM or ZAP games: The purpose is to get the most cards by the end of the game. A player earns the cards if they identify animal group of each animals on the card once it's drawn from a container. If wrong, they put the card back. Watch out for the KABOOM cards! If a player draws one, they have to put ALL their cards back in the container! There are 85 cards in this packet; however, not all cards need to be used at once. The choice is yours.
• Miss a Turn – They player misses their turn for the current round.
• Draw Again – The player gets a second chance to pull another card during the same round on his/her turn. The player cannot hold onto the card for another round.

5. Write the Room
Get your students, moving, thinking, and talking with this fun and interactive write the room activity on animal groups.
Place each numbered card around the room (randomly or in order). Students can work alone or with a partner. Give students a recording sheet and set them off. As students move around the room, they are to write the correct group for the animal shown on each card. This activity can be timed, used a race to see who finishes first. When completed, share answers aloud as a whole class.

6. Boom Cards
Have fun with these digital task cards. Students will look at the animal on each card, then select the correct animal group. There are 48 practice cards.
