Pg. 3 Spelling Nests! -unscramble the spelling words on each nest, cut out the owl boxes, match the owls with the correct spelling words to the nests and glue them
Pg. 4-5 Rainbow Penguins! - color the penguins depending on the digraphs, cut them out and glue them onto the correct iceberg on page B

Pg. 7-8 Hopping in with the Verb “be”! - read the sentences on page A, cut out the frogs on page B, glue the correct form of “be” into each sentence
Pg. 9-11 Suffixes –er and –est! - copy pages A and B back to back to form a flap book, fold on the solid lines and cut on the dotted lines, cut out the animals and put them in the correct order under the flaps

Pg. 13-16 Venn Diagrams - compare the animals on the venn diagrams, choose which two animals to compare and then think of two animals all by yourself to compare
Pg. 17-21 Animal Groups! -write to inform – write the characteristics of each animal group, cut out and glue to a folded long piece of construction paper, cut out the pockets for the animal groups, glue only on the sides and bottoms of each box to form pockets, glue under each animal group leaving room to add papers to the pockets, copy multiple copies of the animal detail paper, draw examples of animals for each animal group and add interesting details
Pg. 22-25 Read a Word Snakes and Ladders – roll the dice to move, read the word that you land on, if you cannot read the word, go back to your spot, if you land on a ladder, climb it, if you land on a snake, read the word in order to slide down the snake – the winner is the first person who reaches the end – can be laminated
Pg. 26-32 - Polar Bear writing and craft – two choices of writing – The Day a Polar Bear Came to School – Let Me Tell You About Polar Bears… , copy patterns onto construction paper and cut out, add cotton to the polar bear face, add cotton pad ears, nose and eyes, glue to large paper and add writing paper
