This lesson goes through the writing process to help students develop well-written paragraphs on an animal habitat.
The lesson begins with brainstorming in a web and then moves towards developing sentences for a paragraph (including topic and concluding sentences!). Students will then write a rough draft and check their own work, followed by editing with a peer. Finally, students will write their final draft, complete with an illustration.
Now with two rubrics choices to help grade the final product! One is on a 0-3 point scale with descriptors for each point level, and one on a 0-2 point scale with just general criteria for more flexibility.
