Animal Headbands and Graphic Organizers for Kindergarten Students
by Pam D'Alessandro
Students can wear their animal headbands while completing their graphic organizer and writing their research paper. Kinders can use online programs or books to write about the animal (72 animals included) they have picked to research. This is perfect as a first time research project or to use as a "My Choice" center. You just need to supply the research material!
This packet could also be used as a collaborative learning lesson. Each group (or pair) could pick an animal and work together to find the facts about their animal. Colored pictures are also included that can be glued to craft sticks to help students see their animal and also to be used to pick an animal!
Animals Include: penguin, tiger, dog, koala, duck, gorilla, cat, octopus, crab, snake, sheep, toucan, salamander, monkey, bear, walrus, puffin, raccoon, hedgehog, fox, sheep, rabbit, pig, cow, chicken, zebra, turtle, rhino, ostrich, lion, hyena, hippo, giraffe, gazelle, flamingo, cheeta, and elephant. Each headband also includes a graphic organizer. A writing paper is also included to be used with all the headbands.
