Students will create a foldable magic book full of animal information using this resource. Teachers can print the format used for the shown book or use the blank information and picture boxes giving their students the freedom to add animal detail of their choice. There is a cover ready to use or again, let your students create their own animal cover. The book will contain 16 information boxes and 16 illustration boxes when it it complete. There is more material included in the resource then is needed allowing each teacher the opportunity to pick and choose which information to include in the book.
This resource helps students do research while reading informational text as a group or as an individual. Students think about the printed information and how to rephrase it and include it in their book. Next they create an illustration to support the text they wrote in their information box.
