These animal research project organizers are the perfect tool to help your students learn how to conduct research. These organizers will work with any animal!
There are 4 different organizers that are one page front and back each. The 4 organizers are separated by topic. Some topics are more abstract than others, which allows for differentiation within each animal group. The 4 animal research organizers are as follows:
*Body & Characteristics
*Diet & Habitat
*Babies & Young
*Adaptations & Survival
My students complete these organizers with books checked out from our school and local library. They also use PebbleGo and WorldBookOnline for Kids on the computers.
I assigned students to 5 different animal groups and each student was responsible for one of the different topics for their animal. Therefore, students conducted their research independently, but then got to work in their animal groups to collaborate and create a final project.
After students completed their research, they wrote an informational paragraph about their assigned topic/animal. Then, the students who researched the same animal worked together to complete a poster about their animal.
