This Animal Research Project allows students to CHOOSE their own way of sharing their knowledge about an animal they have researched. Students become zoologists working for the United States Conservation Organization and are tasked with researching the well-being of animal species. Their mission is to brief the organization about their findings. Students are able to select their own animal to research, write an informative report, and then choose between 5 different types of presentations. Students can be original, innovative and show off their abilities! The projects showcase students' talents and interests!

Students will choose an animal to learn about for their research project. Each project, no matter the project medium chosen, has the same research requirements and requires student writing based on their research. The pages in the project walk students through each step of choosing and researching their topic to provide the background they need for making their animal projects amazing!

There are 2 options for this Animal Research project. You can do the work in class OR you can send the project home with your students. I have included Parent Letters for both options along with listing what pages to copy for each option. Included is one completely EDITABLE Parent Letter that you can compose for your parents and their specific needs. The other Parent Letters have an EDITABLE due date and signature!

There are 6 RUBRICS!

→Content Rubric- Research Requirements- 3 different rubrics bases on your sources

→Written Report Rubric- Writing Conventions

→Project Presentation Rubric

→Group Work Rubric
