This simple, no frills Animal Research Template FREEBIE is perfect for student research projects and a great way to organize new information! Students can use this template individually or with a partner to research an animal of their choosing. This resource is useful for non-fiction texts, magazines, and online resources such as PebbleGo.
INCLUDED IN THIS DOWNLOAD:
- A two page research template to be used for researching any animal. Copy it front/back and your students can get right to work. In my experience, younger students benefit greatly from explicit modeling and working with a buddy.
This FREEBIE is a part of my Non Fiction Animal Research Project
for K-2 Students!
Each year I have my students research an animal of their choice. We visit the library to gather research. We use online resources too! Once students have gathered research on their animals, we begin constructing our Animal Books. After the books are complete, we have a publishing party to celebrate and read each others books. My kids ALWAYS love this unit!! And they learn so much! It's a wonderful way to incorporate your Common Core non-fiction text features and writing standards!!
