This is a growing bundle....which means if you purchase it now, you will save money!
There are FOUR of the units already to download and use right away!
There will be TWO more units added within the next week!
With each addition the price will increase!
You will get...
**The polar animals unit is larger because it includes both arctic and antarctic animals and it has some of the original printables that had been in the earlier version of the unit! Whenever I do an update, I always "tweak" the older materials and add some new materials, so you get the added benefit of more product with this set!
The units are all set up with a similar framework, so after you complete one of the units, the rest will become easier and the children will be able to work more independently because of the familiarity of the materials.
Here is a description for one of the units!
They are all a similar framework!
Here's what a buyer had to say after using one of the units:
"Great resource for animal study as well as text features"
Adapting materials for younger readers and writers is my passion....I hope you like these materials and your children enjoy learning all about text features, animal classification, animal habitats and animal information!
This set of materials has been designed to help your students navigate through non-fiction materials and research animals that live in Africa.
They will work on learning about different text features and looking for text features in non-fiction books!
This is great for getting your kids to "dig into" some non-fiction animal reading and writing!
Example: BOLD TYPE WORDS:
Find a BOLD TYPE WORD in your book.
What was the BOLD TYPE word?
What page was the BOLD TYPE word on?
Did you learn anything about the BOLD TYPE word from the passage in your book?
Look to see if there are any LABELS in your book.
Did you find a LABEL in your book?
What page was the LABEL on?
What did you learn from looking at the LABEL?
Printable with a checklist that includes the various informational text features so your students can look for them in a non-fiction book and check them off!
Includes Printables for the following animals and a blank template as well.
**Children will look at the picture mat and try to name each of the animals by writing the animal name next to the proper number on the recording sheet! They can self check using the provided answer key!
**please note that because this is a bundle, and some teachers may be purchasing just one of these units, that there will be some repetition in the text features area of the units. Bundling will still save you money, and I like to discount my bundles by 20-40% off. It's still a better deal to bundle!
