This lesson is a mixed media project where students draw a composition of an animal with emphasis on texture and design. The final copy is scratched onto a tempera paint and crayon covered paper, resulting in a cool black and neon image. And we all know tweens love anything neon!!
This lesson includes a distribution-ready project rubric with student instructions and evaluation criteria, and it also contains a self-assessment for student self-reflection and instructor evaluation/grading at the conclusion of the project.
