Grade 3/4 Introductory Unit on Structures
An introductory unit on structures using famous animal builders that students are familiar with. Students will learn about the importance of shelters for animals, how they are built, what makes them stable and how they vary in the animal kingdom. At the end of this unit, students are introduced to the method of comparison and uses their critical thinking skills to gain a broader perspective. This science unit was created to be used as an integrated unit, with logical extensions into math, art and social studies.
