Are you looking for a super fun way to teach, review, or assess animal studies?
Students are invited to become (unofficial) zoologists. They are given all the imaginary money they need in order to create a new zoo animal. Students choose from a list of animal attributes and work to "engineer" the perfect animal.
Addressed in this item:
Carnivore, omnivore, herbivore
Illustration: labeling animal body parts, evidence of survival
Opinion: Should animals be kept in zoos?
This activity requires critical thinking and the application of knowledge. It easily lends itself to differentiation and it is STEM/STEAM inspired.
