This complete unit covers animals that live in North America, with an emphasis on Mexico and Central America. It reviews the different categories of vertebrates (mammals, amphibians, fish, birds, reptiles, and insects) and their definition with simple language and a lot of carefully selected images. It also teaches about biomes or habitats and what animals live in each. It has games, videos about some animals, animal sounds, and engaging activities, as well as teacher's notes and suggestions for more games. It includes a word document assessment (interpretive reading - with 3 levels of difficulty) and a printable listening assessment, as well as a matching animal activity. The pages follow a logical teaching pace, which will lead you through the unit. It is aligned to the WL standards, at the novice high level. A great resource for a FLES program.
