This package includes a thorough lesson plan, a project template, photos of the final product, a power point presentation, and handouts to put children in groups. The project is designed as follows:
-Read the book Animals In Winter By Henrietta Bancroft.
-Give out the Animal Example sheets to the tables.
-Color in and cut out the animals.
-Glue them to the pre-cut Snow Globe shaped construction paper..
-Use your finger to paint snow falling on the paper. Let it dry.
-Fill in the blanks in the writing prompt.
-Cut out the snow globe base below and glue it to the construction paper.
-Put glitter, cotton balls, hole punched paper, etc. into a plastic plate for snow.
-Glue the clear plate over the round part of the snow globe.
It does take a lot of work but the final project is stunning and the groups will be experts on what their animals do in the winter! (hibernate, migrate, hunt, gather, etc.)
