*Answer sheet for first page translation task included.
*Subsequent worksheets included as whole sentences for student translation to English. Alternative, without animals for student to complete the missing animals to make sense of context.

Grammar included: a variety of present tense grammar structures *affirmative and negative sentences,
*subject, verb, object word order with a focus on male and female word patterns
*plural and singular sentences.

Verbs included:
*avere to have,
*piacere - to like,
*mangiare - to eat,
*abitare - to live.

Vocabulary: included over 40 animals to expand student working vocabulary. Can be used to review vocab or introduce vocabulary through prediction before dictionary work.

Extension task:
Advanced students can show familiarity of concepts writing out sentences in the affirmative singular, affirmative plural, negative singular and negative plural forms. This challenges student to put each of the grammar, vocab and verb skills into practice at once and checking context for sentences still remaining true.

Example:
The cat eats fish

affirmative singular
Il gatto mangia il pesce

affirmative plural
I gatti mangiano i pesci

negative singular
Il gatto non mangia l'osso

and negative plural
I giatti non mangiano gli ossi.
