Animals Ala Mondrian!
Everyone recognizes Mondrian’s red, yellow and blue compositions like his famous “Broadway!Boogie Woogie”, but I challenge my student’s to utilize his black line compositions in another
way. I had them use black lines across horizontally and vertically to divide their paper into rectangular and square sections. I encourage them to use enough intersecting lines to create interest and variety in their shapes without going overboard and drowning their creation with too many black lines. Did I mention that I instruct them to draw a large, yet simple animal silhouette across the already existing grid of lines?
This package will enable your students to create a colorful painting in the style of a very famous artist! It includes 12 ready to copy or trace animal silhouettes.
