This amazing resource will introduce students to 15 different animals and how they use certain parts of their bodies to survive. It is perfect for primary grades and will let your students improve their language skills, science, writing and language arts skills all in a fun way where they will not realize they are learning.
This resource begins with picture walks (and directions on how to utilize a picture walk in your classroom - it's one of my favorite things to do in my classroom and every group I have ever done this with loves them also). As a part of the picture walks, you will receive 15 color photos of the animals listed below.
After the picture walks, you will receive 15 pages that have two pictures on each page of the same 15 animals (listed below). Below each photo is a sentence about certain parts that the animals use to help them survive.
Next are some pages that have the same animals (in clip art form) that provide an area where kids can either copy the sentences from the pages above or they can make up their own sentences.
Last, there are pages for writing with the same animals that you can use in a variety of ways (I used them for larger pages where my kids could write ways In which the animals use their parts to help them survive).
The animals in this packet are:
~ Polar Bear
Thanks for checking this out. I hope (should you decide to purchase it) you find it to be as successful in your classroom as I have found it to be in mine...
