Product Description

This short research assignment leads students through an introduction of the Anishinaabe Peoples in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. The five questions focus on the main tribes in the area, their origin story, traditional names, and important historical events. I use this in my English classes as a way to gain background knowledge on local tribal communities before reading Native American texts. This could also be used in a Social Studies or History Classroom.
