Students read 3 pages of biographical information on Anne Boleyn, answer 12 questions, and respond to 5 creative tasks/questions/prompts. This would be a great addition to your Women's History Month activities or a unit on Henry VIII and the Tudors. Answers are included where appropriate and this would be great for a sub!
Sample questions and tasks include:
--Why might Henry not have waited until Catherine died to try marrying again?
--Explain the meaning of “besotted with.”
--Why would it have been important for Anne to be crowned before her child was born?
--Summarize Anne’s final address in your own words to demonstrate understanding.
--Imagine a British history had Anne had a son who survived and become king rather than Elizabeth. Write at least 5 good sentences.
--Write Anne’s obituary from the point of view of someone at the time. You can choose someone who admired her, despised her, pitied her, was neutral towards her, or another point of view of your choice.
