In Week 2 of our reading of the adapted play of the Diary of Anne Frank, the students take home some basic work to begin to analyze the characters, which will later be part of their summative assessment.
In this resource, there is a 2-page resource with homework designated from Monday through Thursday. Each assignment is roughly five to ten minutes, asking students to do short activities that will result in a friendly letter. Students will identify other characters in the Annex and how they relate to Anne on one night, choose a character and specifically analyse their interactions with Anne another night, and so on, until they have written a letter from that character to Anne. This packet reviews a recent topic of Point of View and perspective as well.
