Anne Frank: 3 Activities for Historical Background and Research. These three activities are part of larger resource in my store, which can be seen here:
Anne Frank 9 Activities
I thought some teachers might like to focus more specifically on small research projects for students to complete so I am listing these three activities separately.
The three activities in this resource are:
---Research Activity: The German Invasion of Holland (the Netherlands): students complete a one page organizer using online resources (some useful URLs are included in the resource guide which can be used for all three activities):
---Anne’s Childhood and Her Family: Students research Anne’s childhood and her relationship with family members, and also includes an opinion question;
---Adolf Hitler Organizer: Students complete a one-page organizer about Hitler which includes some vocabulary terms as well - the organizer will give students a good background on the rise of Nazism and the part it played in the Netherlands.
Answer keys are included for all three activities.
I also have a resource with four activities which can be seen here:
Anne Frank 4 Activities
Looking for resources with informational text and activities? Please have a look at
5 Days with Anne Frank
I also have a unit that would be perfect follow up to 5 Days with Anne Frank or as a stand alone resource that would be great to use after students finish reading the diary:
Anne Frank’s Diary its History and Legacy
And for younger students:
Anne Frank Informational Texts and Activities Grades 4-6
Both biographical units may be purchased together for classroom differentiation:
