Using an online virtual tour website, students explore the Secret Annex in Amsterdam where Anne Frank hid from the Nazis in WWII. Site includes interviews, documentary information, photos and CG animation to bring the experience home. Most middle school students take 2 to 3 hour-long class periods to complete the four page activity.
Highly engaging, this activity includes step by step directions, screen shots and photos. Indispensable for use with teaching Anne Frank: The Diary of a Young Girl and also great to use with study of WWII or Europe. Can also be used in technology classes for research study of sites.
