The Anne Frank Timeline covers the events in Europe up until the Frank family was forced to go into hiding in July 1942.
My students use this timeline while reading the Anne Frank graphic novel (by Sid Jacobson and Ernie Colon) for background information before we begin reading Anne's diary. Even if you do not teach using the graphic novel, this timeline may be helpful as part of a webquest or research lesson.
Here the events are listed out of order. Students will need to write down the event's date and once all events have dates, students will put them in chronological order. Follow-up lessons to this include making a large timeline in your classroom or having students research an event more in-depth (not included).
