This is a book companion for Jan Brett's book Annie and The Wild Animals.There are tier two vocabulary words, great characters, and an interesting plot. The book lends itself well to some categorizing skills ( tame/wild, winter/spring)
Annie and the Wild Animals
: Synopsis: When Annie’s beloved pet cat disappears in the winter, Annie searches for a new pet in the woods around her home. Will the wild animals make a good pet? Annie’s cat arrives back in the spring with a surprise.
There is a repeating plot with Annie trying to attract a new pet by placing corn cakes out for them. There is also the changing of the seasons.
