Student Guide & Activities Booklet: This is a booklet that covers how to appropriately answer text dependent questions. There are nine activities using an acronym, A.N.S.W.E.R.S. The booklet uses a step by step approach to understanding and applying the concepts. Each activity is two pages. The front provides instruction and information. The backside provides practice including short answers, graphics and group work. Apple icons provide tips and tricks. Question icons allow for quick formative assessments by thinking, sharing, and writing. The activity book includes:

Designed for spaced learning with one question to be answered each day and assessment to be completed weekly. Each level includes admission ticket (2/page and 3/page), exit ticket(2/page and 3/page), and weekend exit ticket for assessment. Tickets are leveled based on the needs of the learner:
• Level 1 - Encourages a step by step approach to response. Students will gain confidence and understanding for response based on strategies.
• Level 2 - Students will transition from simple understanding of TDQs and move towards application/analysis. Self-monitoring for comprehension.
• Level 3 - Students must have clear understanding of basic strategy, application and analysis. Self-monitoring for ease of using responding to TDQs.
• Level 4 - Independent response without any visual clues. Self-monitoring for quality of work produced.
