This game may very well be the easiest game your students will ever learn; in
fact, it only has a couple rules. However, the depth of strategy to this game ensures that no two games will ever be completely the same. For the lower elementary students, this game is useful for understanding the dynamics between ant colonies as they gather resources and coexist or battle other ant colonies. For upper elementary students, this game can be used to help explain the complex relationships of the Greek City-States of 600 BC. The city-states worked together and warred against each other; their political relationships were complex to say the least. This seemingly simple game will have your students negotiating, making and breaking alliances, and having lots of fun in the process.
