ANTEBELLUM GEORGIA STUDY GUIDE
This resource is based on GEORGIA PERFORMANCE STANDARDS.
FULLY EDITABLE in Microsoft Word to customize it to YOUR class, if needed!
This 25 question study guide is based on all parts of the Georgia Performance Standard SS8H5 which states "The student will explain significant factors that affected the development of Georgia as part of the growth of the United States between 1789 and 1840." This standard also has four sub-sections which cover everything from the founding of The University of Georgia, state capitals, religion, and land lotteries to technology advancements, economic growth, Native Americans, the Dahlonega Gold Rush, and more! Everything Antebellum!
This study guide has instructions at the top of the student pages for using the Georgia Studies Digital Textbook produced by Georgia Public Broadcasting and accessible for FREE at www.gpb.org. However, it can be used with any Georgia Studies textbook or internet resources that are aligned to the Georgia Performance Standards (GPS). The instructions, and any other part, are editable if needed for your personal classroom use only.
This is perfect to use to study/review for end-of-the-year standardized tests such as the Georgia Milestones or for a unit test over the Antebellum Period in Georgia. It would also help teachers plan their unit and design their unit tests because it covers all the topics (and sub-topics) of standard SS8H5.
It includes an ANSWER KEY to not only make class discussion of the questions easier, but also to help teachers design their Antebellum Georgia unit.
This Microsoft Word document is fully editable if you need to customize it to fit your specific classroom needs! Remember, this is only for PERSONAL CLASSROOM use.
