Product Description
This DBQ poses a fun question to students: if you inherited $100,000 in 1856, what reform movements would be most deserving of a donation? The DBQ begins with a hook activity that allows students to think about current social problems and different reforms that could fix those problems. The lesson then allows students to analyze short sources about 5 different reform movements in Antebellum America: Women's Rights, Abolitionism, Public Education, Prison Reform and Temperance. Students are asked to pick 3 reform movements that are deserving of a donation and justify their decision in a written essay or in a group discussion.
