The Voices Within DVD was produced and directed entirely by young people and was inspired by the experiences of Zoe Jackson MBE, founder of Living the Dream, which is a performing arts organisation run by young people.
Living the Dream’s anti-bullying resources for schools is part of a wider youth-led campaign, 'I Have a Dream', to provide a platform for young people’s voices and promote the positive contribution that young people can make through the performing and visual arts.
This video is supported by a learning resource pack containing a compilation of exercises, slides, case studies, role plays and drama activities to accompany the Voices Within DVD. The case studies are based upon the stories of the young people who appear in the DVD and were brave enough to talk about their experiences.
The activities are suitable for students from 11-18 and can be applied to drama, PSHE, and citizenship lessons. The lesson plans can be for stand-alone lessons, adapted for assemblies or part of a wider school anti-bullying initiative.
