Post-reading activity for Sophocles's Antigone.
This assessment allows students to create a story to enhance their own understanding of elements of plot and conflicts in the drama. Two options are presented:
Create a comic strip illustrating the events in Antigone (either on paper or using the recommended technology resource) or create a digital audio/visual story (using the recommended technology resources).
Two project rubrics are included: a checklist and a graphic organizer.
This assessment works well in a traditional classroom setting, or in a 1: or Bring Your Own Device classroom. The assessment is especially beneficial for students with learning disabilities. Combining the power of technology and visuals is a great alternative to a written assessment.
