Product Description
Learning antonyms can be fun with these 5 engaging and entertaining antonym games and activities. Just copy, cut out and you're ready to go. Take a break from the boring paper and pencil assessments with these activities that students are sure to love. These antonym activities get students up and moving. They can be played in group, with a partner or independently.

Included in this set is:
1.)Antonym Heartbreaker Game- just copy and cut out- this station is fun and easy to manage. Students match broken hearts together to create antonyms. Great for stations, partners or even independent work.
2.)Antonym Task Cards- This is a great independent activity but can also be played with partner. This is also a great assessment tool for teachers. Place antonym task cards around the room and students walk around and answer the question. Fast, fun and gets students moving.
3.)Antonym I has, Who Has- Great whole group activity that beat a boring worksheet. Each student gets a card. The first person reads his or hers and the other students listen to see who has the antonym that matches the one that was read.
4.)Antonym Memory Game- Played like the tradition memory game. Students place antonym cards face down and take turns turning over pairs. If they turn over two antonyms they keep the pair, if they don't they turn them back over and play moves to the next person. The person with the most pairs wins. This activity also comes with a paper and pencil worksheet the students complete once they have finished the game. Great for teachers to use to check for understanding and time on task during stations.
5.)Antonym Old Maid- just like the card game. Students get antonym cards, draw a card from each other's hand and try to make a antonym pair. The person left with the "Old Maid" card in the end loses.
