Why is it important to understand analogies?
Analogies provide a pathway for students to enhance their critical thinking skills, and can also help build on creativity. Analogies can measure and enhance reasoning ability and vocabulary skills. Concepts such a part/whole, opposites, synonyms, antonyms, and functions are used in analogies. These skills help children make connections and lead to deeper thinking.

Here are some ideas!
1.Use it as a memory or matching game for teaching antonyms/analogies and try to figure out and find the match to each analogy.
2.It can be used for introducing antonyms/analogies as a mini lesson.
3.Use as a station during Guided Reading time!
4. Direction cards are included so students can play without having to ask the teacher to repeat directions!
