In this fun activity, students will match a word with its antonyms to create an "ant"onym ant. The original word is on the ant's head, and the antonyms are on its body parts. Once students have created their ants, they can record their answers on a chart (included) and check their answers with the answer key (included). My students have used these in centers and with partners, and they LOVE them. I also allow students to use their dictionary/thesaurus to help them with dictionary skills. Laminate them for durability, and place them in a baggie or envelope for easy storage.
