Antonyms: Looking for a game to help your class review antonyms in a fun way?
This set includes:
50 pairs of antonym cards -a total of 100 cards!
• fast, slow
• up, down
• asleep, awake
• lost, found
• real, fake
These allow students to independently assess whether or not they matched the antonyms correctly after they play.
• Rules of Play for both games: Go Fish and Memory.
These cards feature two different patterns on the backside:
This allows the cards to be divided into two games
depending on student ability or time constraints.
Ideas for implementing:
If they are just beginning to practice antonyms, have them start with just the stripe set, or just the square set. This keeps it from being too overwhelming.
These cards fit well into literacy centers, stations, small reading groups, Intervention or tutoring!
