These antonym and synonym puzzles are the perfect winter activity to add to your therapy room or classroom! These can be used individually or in groups/centers.
Students practice identifying which two words are antonyms and which two are synonyms. Have the students read each word and identify which words are opposite or similar in meaning and place the corresponding puzzles pieces together. If in groups or centers students can easily check each other’s work. You could even take this skill one step further and after students have identified which pieces are a pair they can state one additional antonym (or synonym) or state a synonym (or antonym) for the puzzle words.
This includes 30 colorful antonym puzzles, 30 colorful synonym puzzles, 30 black line antonym puzzles, 30 black line synonym puzzles, three antonym worksheets, three synonym worksheets, and worksheet answer keys for all. Worksheets require students to list a corresponding synonym or antonym for each word.
I recommend printing these on cardstock and laminating so that way you can use them for many years to come.Colorful and black line are included in this file.
