Product Description
Increasing vocabulary is always a toughie for students, but work with antonyms can help. Scaffold learning with these by starting at a pictorial level and working up to an independent written level. These antonym tasks can be used within a unit or spread out over the year for distributive practice. There are 5 easy-to-prep tasks to make practice fun. Once made, these can be used year after year with only the follow-up sheets needing reproducing. Don't miss vocabulary increasing opportunities with your students. In this great resource you will get:

⭐ 36 colored cards to match making 18 antonyms or use in a “Concentration” game. There are direction cards and labels for your game container/s, a black and white option for printing (included to suit your needs) and a follow-up page for independent practice.

⭐ A 24 card “I have… Who has…?” game

⭐ A “Read the Room” set of 15 cards where the antonym for the picture is used in sentence format; a suggested answer key is provided as well as a black and white version

⭐ An independent matching of antonyms with open-ended choices for sentence writing (can be used for practice or assessing)

⭐ An independent writing task for students to show they can compose sentences using antonyms in a “Did you know…?” format (this can also be used for assessing)
