Antonyms Locomotion Game-This game is to be played outside or may be played inside in a large open area. You will need cones to put the cards under. Each card has a word on it. Students are to write the word and an antonym for the word. To play the game pair students up to go to each cone. Students will need to write the word and antonym for each word before moving on to the next card. You do not have to use all of the cards. I made extra so that my students could work with another class to do this activity. At the bottom of the card it has a physical activity that the students must do to go to the next card. After completing the game, have the students check their work. While playing this game I noticed that all of my students were engaged, learn, and having fun. I was able to differentiate this game, by providing some students with the words already written and then they just had to write the antonym once they reached that card. Created by Mary Griffith.
