Product Description
This is reader's theater with a twist! This reader's theater is designed for 12 readers. Students read the first two pages of the script in their group. Then they return back to the whole group, and the teacher models how to add more antonym examples to their script. (Detailed instructions are included.) After students have been given time to practice to improve voice expression and fluency, students can perform the reader's theater script for their classmates.

This reader's theater script includes more challenging antonyms that are most appropriate for upper elementary (simple/complex, sharp/dull, spend/earn, etc.)

This is an activity that integrates reading, writing, speaking, and listening in a fun way!

I also have a Synonym Reader's Theater available in my store. When I used this in my own classroom, I split my students into two groups. Half of the students perform the Synonym Reader's Theater, and the other half performed the Antonym Reader's Theater.

This is also part of a BUNDLE. If you like to do Readers' Theaters throughout the school year, you might want to check this out! Readers’ Theater BUNDLE (scripts to use throughout the year)
