Product Description
This contract acknowledges that some things are HARD (especially at back to school time)! But there are things we can all do to make them easier…even though usually we don’t do them, they’re usually against the rules, or it’s usually just not the way we do things. It is a place to clearly state what is hard for a student, and create a plan to make it easier, including things that might 'break the rules.' It clearly communicates to everyone supporting the student exactly what the plan to make things easier is. It also ‘officially’ gives the student permission ‘break the rules’ without having to worry about getting in trouble or getting permission every time he/she needs to put the plan into action.

This Social Contract includes 2 components: The 'It's OK Contract' and the 'Making-things-easier Plan.' The Plan outlines who will do what to make things easier for a student, as well as the things that will be allowed to support the student. Multiple Plans can be created for a student. The Contract is a signature page for everyone to sign, agreeing to the Plan.

Beautiful and engaging, the Contract includes both colour and black-and-white versions, and coordinates with my Self-Advocacy Cards, found here.

Easy to Use...Just print the preferred version of the Social Contract, and fill in the blanks. Ideally, the Social Contract is completed by the student with adult assistance.
Review the Making-things-Easier Plan with all of the adults supporting the student at home and at school, & sign.
