Let students use the Worry Scale to identify their worries and quantify them. This will help students recognize what are major worries, what are not, and be able to process dealing with anxiety and worrying.
Use an envelope or box (students can decorate if they choose to do so) and cut out 10-20 cards on cardstock or construction paper.
Have your students write a specific worry on one side of each card and then rate the intensity of that worry on the back by using the scale.
Process the worries and reframe with student. Look back at a later date and see if the rating has changed!
