This is an awesome bundle that you will get a lot of use from. Below is the full description of both products. Buying this bundle will save you $2.00!
Sometimes the most teachable moments come from a moment, someone’s interjection, a current event, or…a book.
We have our students read daily because, let’s face it, students don’t do it at home. What we discovered was that we needed some accountability. Yes…yes…we get it. Sometimes students need to read just for fun. We definitely allow that. However, we found that doing this daily led to some laziness on the part of students. These activities will hopefully help with that. This product will give teachers a chance to set a purpose, even for a student’s independent reading. These activities are also great to use with classroom read alouds or as small group work. They can also be used during guided reading for alternative grades from tests. This will allow for multiple learning styles to gain knowledge in the very best ways they can!
P.S. Let us know ways you use this product and send us pictures. We love sharing your ideas!
Included are activities for: nouns, verbs, adjectives, compound words, character traits, dictionary skills, book reviews, nonfiction organizers, compare/contrast, predictions, background knowledge, making connections, recalling, story elements, story mapping, quick writes, poems, and more!
This product was created because, as fourth grade teachers, we have discovered there is very little time to “teach” spelling. We have found independent activities to be a necessity. Thus, this product!
This product is versatile for a variety of grade levels. Most activities offer spaces for a list of 10, 12, or 20 words. Of course, the 20 word options can be used for lists of any length 20 and under. We just wanted it to be user friendly for the younger grades as well.
You will find activities for individual practice, partner practice, group work, or center ideas. We really, really hope you find this product useful. While we are all into cuteness—yes we definitely are– we ultimately want students to grow and learn. Better yet…we want your job to be a whole lot easier.
