This book is part of the Anyone Can Draw series, and uses the successful step-by-step process of the drawing lessons applied to painting techniques using watercolour, charcoal and pastels. The book uses photographs to show each step in creating a simple landscape. There are two lessons dedicated to the masters Vincent Van Gogh, and Claude Monet. In the charcoal section the techniques are demonstrated for creating a mountain landscape, and a lighthouse and boat seascape. In the pastel section directions are given to create a ladybug on a leaf, and a collaborative flower project for the whole class.
These lessons have been done successfully with students from grades 1-6. The students enjoy the lessons very much, and parents and teachers have been impressed with their children's artwork.
