This activity is intended to help students understand how to create complete sentences in a fun way. This activity can be used as a whole group activity to begin or summarize a lesson or to teach a specfic part of speech. This activity can also be used in a center.
-- I have attached 2 different center directions cards and 2 different recording sheets for you to use depending on your kids’ needs.
-- I have attached 2 sets of the word cards. One set is in a black font and is intended to be cut and glued to the colored paper labeled at the top of the group. One set is in a colored font and is ready to use. I highly encourage you to laminate your word cards.
Print your desired directions card(s), recording sheet, and desired set of words. For the word cards, cut on the black lines to separate the words.
Students can organize their words
-- using a pocket chart, (This is how I have them do it in my room.)
-- at their desk,
-- on the floor,
-- or small magnets could be attached to the back of the word cards, and students could organize the words on the classroom’s magnetized white board.
