Apache Warrior is a great Native American teaching tool and resource for music teachers and your students are sure to love it. The power point gives the students a history of the Apache Indians; where they lived, how they lived, what they ate and how they hunted. It also introduces the students to the different ceremonial dances and the variety of drums and other handmade instruments used in chants and song festivities.
After learning about the Apace Warrior's, the students are introduced to the instruments in the song and piece by piece they put the elements of the song together. The drums set the song on fire! Your students will love learning to play this song over and over again, and the best part is - it includes a multitude of instruments, so the whole class gets to participate. This piece includes the use of Bass Drum, Garbage Pails turned upside down, tom toms, snare drums, bongos, buckets, xylophones, metallophones, bass xylophones, glockenspiel and recorders. It is lots of fun and easy to put together. Enjoy!
