Apologizing is an important skill to teach students who are working at mastering basic social skills. Apologizing can help to build a community feeling in the classroom. This is one lesson included in Unit 4 of the Behavior Basics Program.
The lesson includes social stories, visual supports, discussion questions, coloring pages, interactive notebook pages, assessment questions, focus board pieces and parent newsletters.
All 60 behaviors follow the same weekly format to create a consistent routine within your classroom. The program is not designed to go in lesson order. Each behavior has been assigned a lesson number for teacher organization and easy location of the materials for each lesson. This also allows for flexibility on the teachers behalf to teach any behavior in any order they choose depending on class and student need. Behavior Basics Program is great for any early childhood classroom, special education program or autism classroom. This is also great for any schools implementing a Positive Behavioral Intervention Services (PBIS) approach.
