The Apologizing Social Skills Lesson helps students learn the important skill of offering and accepting an apology. This lesson will walk students through the parts of an apology, how to determine if an apology is genuine or insincere, how to determine if an apology is needed, practice for both giving and receiving apologies and the steps for accepting an apology when given. This is lesson is designed for middle and high school students who need to work on social skills or it can be used with students in the mediation process so they can understand how to say they are sorry, make restitution, and practice forgiveness.
